Tips on what to visit, where to eat and drink in the Letná District

Letná is one of the most popular living districts in Prague for locals. It is full of great restaurants, bars, bistros, cafes, local markets and galleries. The locals especially appreciate the proximity of two large parks, good transport accessibility and at the same time easy walking connection with the historical center of Prague.

The district of museums and galleries

The DOX Center for Contemporary Art, the National Gallery in Prague and the National Technical or Agricultural Museum are definitely worth a visit. Interesting exhibitions are also held in the Chemistry Gallery or in the Trafo Gallery, which can be found in the Holešovice Market.

Where to go for a good coffee

Letná is full of great cafes and bistros. We can definitely recommend Café Letka, Pilot Café, Kolektor Cafe, Letec Espresso Bar, Cafe Hrnek or Bistro Tvaroh. For homemade cakes and the most crispier bread, go to the Chléba a másle bakery, from where we also order pastries for our hotel breakfast.

Where to go for a drink or tap beer

There are a lot of places  in Letná where you can meet locals after work. Bar Cobra, Lokál Stromovka, Bar Kamenická or Pivovar Lajka are definitely worth a visit. For great wine and a pleasant atmosphere, visit the Winegeek wine bar, Násoska a ochmelka or to Koštovna u Poštů.

Where to go for a great meal

You can find here almost all types of cuisine from small bistros to fine dining restaurants. For lovers of Vietnamese cuisine, we recommend Banh Mí Makers, for great Italian cuisine go to Ristorantino da Matteo or Peperoncino, for world gastronomy to the bistro Kostelní 16 and if you have a taste for street food, we recommend Mr. Hot Dog Prague.
